Is that just the tree, or flowers that smell bad or something? Do they even smell bad?
That's hilarious! I miss the Monty Python Circus. I'm sure that was a gin reference. Elderberries were an ingredient sometimes used to sweeten the bitter juniper taste of gin. They're like wild blackberries without the thorns or big seeds. When ripe they make an amazing syrup. Strong antioxident.
