AIO just did a show about a couple youtube socialists arguing with eachother because one of them was getting rich by telling people money is evil lol. In the argument they referenced another youtube socialist that was encouraging and participating in a "rent strike" because they think the landlords are evil for not just giving away their property to let junkies live in for free despite this chick most likely having way more money than her landlord... Western socialists are probably the dumbest people in the planet. I actually can understand the point of view of third world impoverished people falling for socialism because it seems like "what do I have to lose?", but the rich american/european kids that somehow support communism make zero sense to me.
Gavin Mcinnes always talks about how they all think they will be the ones designing the uniforms or advisingf the king if communism takes over and do not realize that if communism did take over the revolutionaries would be the first ones killed, and if they are lucky enough to survive the purge, they are going to be peasants just like the rest of us. It is not going to be free college as you know it, but free college that is actually just a state reeducation camp to treat you to love the king (or emporer or prime minister, or whatever they call their king).
What’s funny about these rent strike people is they only benefit the rich investors who will buy up the small landlord buildings and put market rate condos. It happens every time. Useful idiots.
yep. People in red states really don't have any issue with housing. In my city (louisville) you can buy a house for $50k, and there are $500/mo or less apartments all over. I used to live in California and it was not like that at all... Houses were like $500k and apartments started at like $900 for a 1br

BINGO
Same with the covi lockdowns. There are going to be a lot of family owned restaurants turning into an applebees after all this is done.

Should be required reading!
That was super interesting and creepy.

rent and land are expensive because of zoning and land use restrictions, which are ANTI-FREE-MARKET ideas, and heavily favored in BLUE states
then again, the vast majority of idiots don't even know econ 101
