Free money ain't free. A one time check followed by opening the economy is one thing. Massive amount of "tax credits" distributed monthly like UBI, and a $15 /hour FEDERAL minimum wage... are quite another. Economists are already spooked right now about inflation. Money distributed in a monthly, sustained way... INFLATION will be OUT OF CONTROL. I hope to God the Senate can somehow pick off at least one "moderate" dem and hold the reps together. That's not even mentioning the exrended extra federal unemployment... paying people not to work. They're trying to make people NOT FEEL the effects of the STUPIDITY of closing the economy over what is effectively nothing.
Manchin’s lease on his political career in WV is over and I think he knows it. I’d imagine he’ll be voting in lock-step w/the Dems until he’s less than 2 years from reelection. But, WV has lost all faith in him after the events of the past 3-4 months.
