But can we call it a "flu"?? I get scolded when I say it's a flu but obviously it is a flu, a variant, but a flu nonetheless? Thanks for your explanation, it's very good. If I search Taiwan will it tell us why only 10 have died?

Yes, about 10 people have died in Taiwan from Covid - over the the last year.

And the word 'flu' - is just the word that was used for a group of Symptoms that people normally get when they suffer a winter time infection and it is 'more severe' then a 'common cold'

Our medical community can not distinguish the bugs easily (bacteria vs. Virus) from just looking at your symptoms - because the body reaction TO ANY INFECTION LIKE THIS is usually very similar.

And of course 'ANTIBIOTICS' do nothing to stop viral infections... but can help if you have bacterial infections.
