We are currently in a Cold Civil War in this country.
• Our side believes that the 2020 Election was stolen and has presented statistical evidence to back up those claims. In response we're called conspiracy theorists and told that questioning the election is sedition.
• The incident on Jan 6th at the Capitol Building is portrayed by Leftists as an attempted coup and is uniformly condemned by them along with their lackeys, the RINOS’. Yet they don’t want to discuss the fact that the protest centered on the core issue of “Stop The Steal”.
• Our side believes that moving manufacturing jobs/plants to China, at the expense of America, will lead to a much greater influence of Chinese Communist ideology in our country. Censorship, intimidation tactics, wrong-speak punishment and such will become the norm.
The list could go on and on. Many Americans now believe that their voices are being silenced and that they no longer have a legitimate option of voting for their preferred candidate. Until serious forensic audits of the 2020 elections are conducted then that (elections) will remain a root cause of our current Cold Civil War.

Taking a step back though...
I think we are in a global civil war. There are not really geographical sides. It is citizens against their governments and big tech. Some countries are lucky enough to have the government fight along side the people... but it seems so few.
And people are getting killed in the battles, it is just killed digitally. Depersoned. Looks like at least in America, that will soon move to banks and land.
It is a war so different from anything in the past, most do not recognize that we are in one.
