Texas sent the state of emergency before the storm. Hell they even tried it again during the fucking storm. They say fucker joe signed it on the 18th after days and days that we Texans suffered. Do not depend upon the government for anything. Always assume you are on your own. Buy emergency food. Have a generator. Keep at least one kerosene heater on hand (so you can keep one room warm). Know how to turn off the main water valve to your house. Know basic skills like carpentry. Be ready and able to shut everything in your house down, lock up and be able to leave on short notice to get to a safer area.
