Heller and McDonald have both blocked further infringements by state and local officials as well as the rebuking of New Yorks recent attempt to prohibit the lawful transport of firearms by law abiding citizens.
Is SCOTUS perfect, of course not, its still a human construct and as such is not a perfect system but generally SCOTUS gets it right.
