I love some teachers, but I can't stand the teachers and admins who don't even have any kids of their own... and think they have the right to be judgemental about others' parenting. That's a huge pet peeve of mine. There's a big difference between being responsible for looking after a child for hours a day and getting breaks that you can count on... and being a parent who never gets a break, especially if talking about a situation where the kids are home 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There's also a difference between being a parent of 1, who has not even entered school age yet, and being a parent to older children.
I tried to explain this difference to my sister who has to help my nephews homeschool and work. She still gets to go home where no demands are made on her versus living with the demanding 24/7. Such a difference but I had to give it up because she was getting really butthurt about the topic.
You're right. Some families need two incomes, but lot of them just need fewer toys.
And why the hell do they need two incomes? A family should never need two fucking incomes. The liberals, and cuckservatives put America down shit creek, selling everyone's future for pennies on the dollar. Mass migration, allowing companies to outsource everything, giving China complete access to the USA's intellectual property, etc.
Some parents are not equipped to be teachers. It takes alot of discipline, organizational skills, and planning. Some kids are not equipped to sit at home all day and it hurts their social development. Some public schools are horrific. Some public schools are awesome with great teachers and high test scores. This is largely due to demographics but not always. Just saying, there is no "best" blanket scenario so people need to stop being assholes.
I agree. Public schools where I am are good. Teachers are involved with students/parents. The schools near my family are pathetic and worthless. Absolute joke.
Teaching isn't for everyone and takes some training or guidance.
The one thing that I don't like about home schooling is athletic programs are much less available outside typical schooling in majority of areas. I feel children should be given opportunity to participate in group sports. By no means does this mean to force them.

Nah, this is a big lie you've been told. Kids learn shit all on their own all the time. They don't need teachers. The whole education system is literally designed for control of society, to create obedient workers, cogs in the machine. Most children pick up things really quick. Most of learning is literally just copying. If a parent has got it together, so will the kids. Because the kids will copy them. Teaching isn't complex. They just pretend it is. They inflate their worth, so they keep collecting their money. Think about what you learn in school... Some shit about Shakespeare, where to place a fucking comma, the location of Afghanistan, women can have penises, etc. It's a lot of bullshit.
There's clearly something wrong with the education system. Look at all the fucking liberal retards in society. How did they become retarded? Spending too much time in school, listening to teachers talk about how Trump is Hitler.
Agreed. I’m all for free market capitalism, however we have oligarchs here in the USA now and it’s created, over the past 50 years conditions where to have children mean poverty where in the 99.99% of human existence having children meant wealth.
Let me guess your child’s school is way better than all of the other government indoctrination centers.
You know this because the government gave the school a blue ribbon.
You talk to your kid about politics all the time so that they don’t get brainwashed by the left.
For every 10 hours of damage the school does to your child you’re tired overwork ass spends one hour. It sure as hell won’t be childhood neglect that turns your child into a liberal, it’ll probably be that damn college they go to in a couple of years. And you can sleep well knowing that.
Hey dumbfuck. Some parents are strapped financially and not all public schools are bad. There are red states and red counties with people who teach in them and they're not terrible.
I wish more folks could home school their kids and remove them from the worst of public schools, but every one doesn't have the option to go 100 percent home school.
You do realize that the school in your lovely red county in your lovely red state doesn’t pick the curriculums. The federal government does. And even if the county did pick the curriculum why are you going to allow some other dude to teach your kids what the worlds like? Just because someone has a red R next to their name makes it ok for them to have a Monopoly on your child’s education? That’s a genius concept.
The statement “I’m financially strapped I can’t take care of my kids” tells me you put finances before kids.
I know some dirt fucking poor people who homeschool their kids.
Why the hell does it seem like mother ducks do a better job raising their chicks than human parents. It’s sad.
Oh yeah one other thing, most of these poor people you’re talking about have been forced by the government to homeschool their kids anyways for the last year, so we’ve already proven they can do it.
Also why does everybody need to say “yeah but think about the poor people”, you sound like a Liberal “blacks can’t use the Internet”, “hispanics are too stupid to get a drivers license”, fuck off with that bullshit. 90% of people aren’t too poor to homeschool their kids and it’s a totally different discussion than the one we’re having. Most people should homeschool their children. If you’re in some special victims class they can’t manage it will have a different discussion about that later. But counting the number of down votes on my last comment I highly doubt most of those people are poor.
I’m a “good parent” kids in public school. Can’t afford private. Wish I could.
I’ve had my child in charter schools so it has been a little different than the non charter thankfully.
If I could afford it I would send my child to private no doubt.
I grew up in private Christian schools until 10th grade I went to public school. I liked the public school because of the class options and they had more resources available to them versus private school. My younger siblings grew up in public schools and the things they were exposed to at a young age were much different compared to my experience due to the school situation.
You sound like an asshole.
What if I was raped and decided not to have an abortion and raise my child? You don’t know my story. You can’t generalize. I have raised a fine young man with morals and values who knows right from wrong. The problem is people aren’t involved in the things they should be such as school board decisions and assholes like you that sit on a high horse.
I think her verdict of you was spot on. You're making silly claims and attacking people that are making complex decisions and giving their children a good upbringing.
I'd trust her with my child more than I would you.
Wow peaceandharmony you sound like a bitter old person from some judgy church group that thinks your morally superior for whatever reason. You don’t know what you’re talking about. Everything you have said is wrong. You know nothing about me. I’m far from being “ just some dumb bitch”
Go read your Bible and get help for your soul.
I am far from being the person who blames any of my problems on other people. I take responsibilities for my actions. I don’t need my mom or grandma to raise MY child.
You got mental issues. And nothing better to do than try to put down strangers on the internet.
You’re obviously a miserable person with very few friends.
The trend on this site has been decidedly poor with regards to trolling and argumentative morons. Had a flat earther space denier making up physics in his attacks on me on a thread about Perseverance.
I find it amusing you spend so much time quoting scripture, deigning to lecture people about the "true" word of Jesus, while spending the other half of your time being a colossally judgmental prick. If your comment history is any indication of how you act in real life, you should probably spend less time passing judgment on others, and more time worrying about yourself.
I dont quote "scripture " except to dispel the falseness of people claims they used it for.
Judging is when you hold it against someone for being wrong. I know these bible thumpers , cafeteria christians and pagan catholics can't help what has been instilled into them.
Because only you are enlightened enough to understand the Bible's true meaning, amirite? Rather than use it as a guide to teach people, you bludgeon them with it from a position of arrogant, moral superiority, no different from the so-called "Bible-thumpers" you seemingly look down upon.
People like you are always the same. You posit yourselves as arbiters of morality and reason when truly you are as miserable and hateful as they come. A complete fraud and hypocrite. Again, spend less time worrying about others, and focus on yourself. You need it.
The spoke the truth? No, I dont think so. I will agree "most" parents are not as engaged in schools curriculum as they could be (notice I didnt say SHOULD be), if they were there would be a much different result than the bullshit common core, no one left behind, empty rhetoric. No parent thinks these morons are representatives of typical school boards across our nation. Ill also state A LOT OF GOOD PARENTS send their kids to public schools. A lot of those parents went to good public schools! What you miss in all of this is the decline in education SYSTEMS over the last 20 years. That is TOP DOWN bullshit programs forced to dumb down our youth. Thats how you end up with morons like this sitting in positions called school board. Remember they are elected, at least they are here where I live.
No parent thinks these morons are representatives of typical school boards across our nation.
I'm not a parent but this is exactly what I think. I don't see public teachers as particularly educated. Academically I run circles around most of them in my spare time. The amount of work they put in to become certified highly paid professionals was so much less than I had to do in Engineering in college.
The amount of my idiot friends that became teachers is clear evidence of this. It's a deeper issue I think. We aren't giving any incentive for anyone that isn't in it "for the kids" to teach their craft. Some people have a level of brilliance that needs to be exposed to our youth, but there's literally zero incentive. I could teach any one of the classes my nephew is in, I'm a plumber.
I didn't become a plumber cause I'm dumb, or because it was a last resort. I did it because I knew I'd be guaranteed a decent living no matter what.
Most the people I know that became teachers did it because they were committed to education, with only the best intentions. Unfortunately they don't have the ability or backing to teach anything of value.
I don't know what the solution is, I'm just a shit chaser. But I'm more than aware that the whole situation is fucked and any kid these days in public school is facing the business end of a piss poor education
My Dear Stratocaster_patriot: Please understand I am not patronizing you BUT you being an engineer is like comparing a teacher of elementary school to a rocket scientist. Also, Im not slamming teachers, its like comparing apples and volley balls.
That stated, Ive met a lot of incredible decent dedicated teachers that go above and beyond. I respect them a lot. I couldnt do what they do day in and day out. BUT, I also believe firmly in the 80X20 rule. Im willing to give you that what I know and have seen in action is representative of the 20%. BTW this is not just with education/teachers/professors it is also the case in every other profession I can think of. The quest is always to find the 20% dedicated to the love of their profession and delivery of care and excellence in what they do.
All of this to say, I dont beleive the bullshit that came out of this hot mike but it is a great reflection of the people who said it. Unemployment is too good for them.
Common core was a disaster, so was No Child Left Behind. It was all empty rhetoric that did absolutely NOTHING for improving our education system AND assisting our teachers in their education efforts. If you think otherwise, your were not, and have not, been involved in its application. What is of great impact and should be delivered to the American families is Charter School choice but the fly in that ointment is UNIONS, Teachers UNIONS. You know, the ones that prevented teachers, who wanted to go back to teach in their classrooms, who saw distance learning during CV-19 failing miserably for their beloved students, were BLOCKED from that choice. Its all politics and its all bullshit.
Agreed. This decline has been gradual, dedicated and deliberate for the better part of 20 years. It is the same with the infiltration of political positions since 1963 & judicial system (top to bottom). Im convinced its how you overthrow the United States without an army .....but....we are all paying attention now and it is a little premature fortunately.
Common Core math that some had trouble with was actually the conservative traditional math . Public school had switched to a stupid ineffective method of learning math , which most Baby Boomers were taught on with disastrous results . "Common core" math was the attempt to return schools to the original learning methods. If ignorant people like yourself actually were responsible for their own childrens education, they would have known that.
LOL. Common core was created because of "white privilege."
Exactly! Why are conservative parents so eager to send their children back to these Marxist indoctrination centers? Isn't it better to have your children under your supervision so you can monitor what they're being taught?
I recall a bunch of Marxist 'educators' complaining on social media about their ability to brainwash their students being curtailed due to vigilant parents listening in on their lessons, at home. It shouldn't be a surprise that public employees tend to be lazy so when they see an opportunity to shirk responsibility they'll take it. They're trying to milk the plandemic for all it's worth. Let them do it and get hoisted by their own petard. Keep your children at home and away from them! This is a GOOD thing.
All the more reason to keep schools closed and let's keep monitoring teachers on Zoom. Better yet, open the schools, but make teachers wear GoPro type cameras all day like the police do!
At least make them teach remotely from inside their class rooms. That will really piss them off. And the GoPro. Tax payers are paying you to do nothing so we get to slap a GoPro on you now. Plus you indoctrinate kids for a living so again, GoPro. Honestly I hate that idea but it's them that have made it a consideration.
There are plenty of rotten parents, but they don't hold a candle to the rotten teachers & teachers' unions. Every so-called "educator" is a left wing communist agitator until proven otherwise.
The pot thing got me and the "they want their babysitters back" comment. No, maybe they want to get back to work so they can feed their fucking family. These people are scum. Homeschool your kids if you can.
Grandma and grandpa know math and science very well. I'll bet they could do a better job than the schools, if your governor didn't get them killed first. Mission accomplished.
He will be gone soon! Good riddance to a bad mistake. Come on California Patriots, let's take this state back from the insanity and the Game show host we call a Governor.
You are so right it isn't funny. I'll give one small anecdote. There's a girl I know who is mildly autistic, so pretty functional. The covid forced her home all the time with her grandparents supervising and helping her with the virtual lessons. The girl has done so well with just that help from actual people who love her. Nothing can replace a parents (or in this case grandparents) role in helping their kids education. Now, I know our society has raised a lot of people that have grown up to be truly terrible parents, but if you are a parent that gives even a little shit, own your kids education. Even if you can't homeschool (which is preferable), don't let the teachers be the end all and be all, because no one will care about your kids education like you.
Knowing how to do math and science and keeping a kid on schedule and making them do the work are two different things. It's almost like you people have...never homeschooled.
Actually, I have homeschooled. Teaching grade school level math and science with all the resources we have today is not that complicated. With all the homeschool materials we have today, by the time my kids did high school level math and science they could do most of it on their own with the right lessons and materials. They both did great on the SATs. Now, every kid is different, but point is this stuff isn't like creating a nuclear bomb and their are a lot of resources today. Parents should not feel dissuaded from homeschooling based on subject matter, especially if they start young.
My grandmother knew how to cook a damn fine meal for 80 people at a time.
My grandfather knew how to drive a tank across Africa, up Italy and onto a French beach.
I'm still glad I didn't need to learn how to read, write and do mathematics from them. They were lovely people but so were many of my teachers.
The admission that they think of their job as babysitting rather than passing on any knowledge or skills to the younger generation was pretty illuminating.
And we've all seen babysitter movies. They send the kids off so they can fuck their boyfriends on the couch. Until a psycho calls from inside the house. lol
They admit we are paying them $60k to work about 60% of a year (in a normal year) as glorified babysitters. I guess we the taxpayer should restructure those contracts. Maybe instead of only having standards for kids we increase some standards for babysitters. Or let's just hire private online academic professionals who teach all sorts of subjects very well. I was just brushing up on Laplace Transforms and Diff Eqs. the other day for free on youtube from a guy who knew his stuff like a pro and laid things out and spoke better than most college professors I ever had. Let's pay them instead and schools are now mostly low paid proctoring gigs to keep the kids honest and safe.
What really irked me is them laughing because parents would get cut off when leaving a message. This is obviously so funny. Like concerned parents are an intrusion or something.
If I home school can I not pay any taxes into the school district? No? Ok, then yeah, I'm going to be livid when I "want my baby sitters back". Because services aren't being render though payment is going through.
This is the infuriating thing to me. They weteclike " imagine these asshole parents wanting Me to show up for work instead of getting on a zoom call for an hour"
Yeah, I would agree too somewhat, but parents are doing half of their job while they are getting paid exactly the same, but lets face it weed isn't cheap so these parents have to be making money somehow.
Exactly, they made asshole comments that were honest. It's sad how many parents don't give two shits about the children they have - most were an EBT meal ticket, a method to hold down a man, or an afterthought.
I come from a family of ex school teachers - they've seen the degradation of teachers AND parents who could care less and really would rather smoke weed instead of make their kid dinner or help with homework.
Unprofessional and unethical. Unbecoming of a teacher. Anyone else who has a job which requires a state license would be reprimanded and or lose their license.
Well, with economics you can easily demonstrate that socialism CAN'T work, abd understand what money is, where value comes from, and all that good stuff.
Also includes stuff like elasticity of supply and demand, how prices which you'd buy and sell ar are determined based on the different supply systems (monopolistic, free market, etc.), what makes up money, opportunity costs, etc. '
Lot of good concepts in there that are almost pure math, without having to get into government or philosophy.
Even commies don't deny a lot of these fundamentals; they just decide that when there's a gap between supply and demand, the government and people will just kinda magically ignore the gap rather than take various non-traditional actions.
Demand for gas/food/whatever is higher than government will supply?
In communist fantasties, the Government's decided levels are better and more rational long term decisions than free will markets would set, and their superior judgement will be upheld due to trust in the government, and the good will of the abiding, loyal people. Much like a child not understanding a parent on why they can't have more cookies but trusting them enough to mostly go along with it, sulking at worst. And the parent is sincere in their decision being based on the child's best interest.
Meanwhile, over here in reality: Willing to pay a higher 'price', citizens will risk theft and violence as an additional 'cost' to obtain it; sellers may start a black market to take in the profit to be taken from an existing, willing customer base.
But neither side denies that these economic principals regarding supply and demand do exist.
This old adage is true. I taught math in a public school for six years. Teachers are on average among the most mediocre and selfish people in America. Of course there are exceptions but they aren’t the rule. Not by a long shot. The correlation between their mediocrity and their progressive values should surprise no one. The competent and capable always leave for greener pastures.
It would be nice if there were some way to hire only those teachers with other work experience, not just education degrees. I think some efforts have been made in some states to encourage this sort of thing, like reducing certification requirements.
I mean ideally the situation would be the opposite of what you describe. Not sure there’s any way to manage it though.
We can’t find replacement teachers anymore. We lower our bar every year just to get a warm body in the room. By reducing certification requirements you only attract burnouts and incompetent people. Why the fuck would anyone give up a chemistry or engineering job to go teach high school. The good teachers leave for better opportunities or just stay home once they have a kid or two since daycare costs have skyrocketed while teacher pay (and most jobs honestly) have stagnated.
Revamp the whole fucking system. It has gotten out of control. And I continue to ask: WHY THE FUCK DO PUBLIC GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES WHO GET PAID THROUGH OUR TAX DOLLARS GET TO UNIONIZE!!!???!!!
My kids go to a small school of maybe 300 people where I went to school growing up, in a small town, where I personally know the people who are teaching, and my parent was also teacher there. I grew up around all those people. We are from a small community. We go to church, we pray together, we teach them at home, and they also go to public school. So some person on the internet claiming that I'm a bad parent for sending my kids to public school really means nothing. Use some common sense. This a country of individual people. Not every situation is the same. Not every school is the same. Not every area is the same. I have a very low tolerance for people who make stupid blanket statements.
They got caught blowing off steam. Not really a big deal to me. Obviously they should reopen schools but I think it’s a blessing in disguise for the indoctrination centers to be shut down. More people will be homeschooling after the lockdowns and that means less leftist indoctrination.
False. Unethical conduct and conduct unbecoming of an officer of the school board. It is a public office. There are actually ethical standards they are bound to adhere to. This isn't a hen party.
I am convinced that people like this are taking marching orders from an elitist to dumb down the public schools deliberately so private school children have the advantage at the higher universities, thus creating the next Hunters and Chelsea’s of the world running this asylum.
Need a better plan to bring critical and logical education to all children - possibly defund public schools and consider using tax dollars for school vouchers. Fuck the Teacher’s Union. Enough.
Bush era school policies linking funding to high stakes testing is what ruined public schools. Schools only cared about the bottom 20% since those students ruin a schools rating. Also, Banning tracking initiatives is fucking stupid. If you are slow, you should be in a slow class/school. If you are quick you should be in a more challenging class that will get you ready for college if that is what your plan is.
Somewhere along the way admin figured out they could save money by combining all the classes and teaching to the weakest link while calling it “inclusion.” We used to be competitive and most students ENJOY competition, but now our best and brightest are basically ignored in schools because our bosses demand we focus only on the dipshit who won’t shut up and pick up a pencil.
Real example from pre-covid: Faculty meetings to discuss ISS and discipline referrals. Our numbers were going up and we were getting called racist (actual Obama policy to investigate and label schools based off data) because a disproportionate amount of black males compared to our school demographics was being kicked out of class. They brought numbers and showed a total loss of 1200 or so instructional hours across all suspensions (in school and out of school). I didn’t fucking care about that because those assholes did it to themselves. Those 1200 hours lost for them, were more like 50,000 hours gained for the kids who actually want to be at school and care about their education when they got a break from the shitty kids.
Also, for that data they don’t factor in repeat offenders. The 5 black dudes who get suspended or removed from class 25 times each accounted for 125 black male referrals. That doesn’t make us racists, it just makes the other 60-70 black males appear like they are discipline issues when they aren’t.
When I was in my 20's I worked as a substitute teacher. I probably put in a year or two doing this, and during that time I discovered the average teacher isn't very intelligent, with those working K-6 being the the least intelligent. There are some great teachers out there at every level, but public schools have low standards and all of them have been exposed to years of Marxist indoctrination. Those teaching high school science and math tend to be very intelligent and interesting, so I'm not disparaging all teachers, but most teachers in my experience are not the kind of people I want around my children, let alone for more hours of the day than I get to spend with them. The people in this video are garbage human beings.
My children are in college now and they hate zoom learning. One is not enroll in college the other did but have to cause he doesn’t want to fall behind.
Teachers are at a LOWER risk of getting covid than most jobs. Teacher unions should be illegal. They hold kids hostage as a negotiating tactic so they can get paid to do nothing. Biggest scumbags in our country.
Definition of tact
1: a keen sense of what to do or say in order to maintain good relations with others or avoid offense
Proverbs 1:20-22 (ESV): Wisdom cries aloud in the street, in the markets she raises her voice; at the head of the noisy streets she cries out; at the entrance of the city gates she speaks: “How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple?
'I will not make excuses for what happened or why it happened. I am the superintendent. I am responsible and accountable and I am truly sorry for what took place.'
The truth is they are right. Most of the single mother parents in their district do want taxpayer funded babysitters as well as the rest of the garbage parents.
But since the marxist teacher's unions are politically aligned with this save demographic then fuck them. This is what you get when you refuse to hold parents accountable.
I agree with the teachers (for once!). 90% of the parents want the kids back in school for various reasons, almost all of them selfish and not in their children's best interest. Conversely, the vast majority of teachers are rallying to not return to classrooms because "muh Covid" for the sole reason that they don't want to deal with the little shits when they can just mute them on zoom instead, and once again, I don't think I blame them.
That said... obligatory HOMESCHOOL YOUR CHILDREN and DEFUND PUBLIC EDUCATION.
Oakley? LOL. Not surprised. The only reason they exist is the land was cheaper there when the Facebook executives were looking for places to build their new McMansions. It was farm country before that, on the edge of the delta.
I'm no defender of CA teachers and their districts, but I know what kind of parents they're dealing with out there - mouthy Karens who think because their husband works at Google, they can push people around. Ugh.
As and IT engineer you’re not typically privy to the idiotic brainstorming sessions of the user base. Those discussions where they just start rambling stupid ideas and then settle on the absolute dumbest then come talk to you about implementing the moronic shit they just dreamed up.
Teachers are over rated and not heroes. Few are exceptional and most are protected by unions. Showing off power points all days while sitting in a chair isnt admirable. Also, being a teacher shouldn't require a 4 year degree, 2 years at max unless you are teaching a stem class.
I worked in a high school for a few years after homeschooling my kids until high school. In my experience, the more conservative teachers were quiet & the more liberal teachers were loud & obnoxious. My kids could tell right away, who they could connect with, & learned to tune out the loud libs. It is a good life lesson, b/c they will probably have similar experiences in their jobs. Stand for what you believe in & tune out those who won't have a logical conversation with you. Rush Limbaugh used to say, "Don't argue with a fool b/c after awhile, you won't be able to tell who the fool is."
This is California, and he wasn't lying. He was just speaking an unspoken truth. Doesn't apply to all parents, far from it. But it definitely happens in much higher numbers in California than anywhere else in the country, that I can promise you.
"These comments are not typical."
Bullshit. These comments are exactly what these people think about parents.
As a teacher, this is totally true. What they said in their meeting is pretty typical in all of mine
Be a shame if some of those comments were recorded anonymously and released to the public

Um record them n post it on here so we can replace them with more people like you.
Former teacher here. These people said the quiet part out load, that’s all. And they aren’t wrong. We are babysitters.
Then your doing it wrong
Yes. Dont babysit, teach.
Babysitting because the curriculum is weak? What’s the line between warehousing and education?

Sounds like someone is triggered.
BOOM!!! 👏🏻 👏🏻👏🏻
You sound like one of those crunchy moms that bitches if someone else's kid isn't breast fed.
Hahaha! Yes! Real talk
You literally don't know the people or the schools you are complaining about.
Also has no kids. Is a clueless retard who believes the propaganda that he shouldn't have kids unless he's basically rich.
This person is not a homeschool parent, they are trolling.
I’m far from being “ just some dumb bitch” Go read your Bible and get help for your soul.
I am far from being the person who blames any of my problems on other people. I take responsibilities for my actions. I don’t need my mom or grandma to raise MY child.
You got mental issues. And nothing better to do than try to put down strangers on the internet.
You’re obviously a miserable person with very few friends.
Truly ironic screen name
I was thinking the same thing. The one with the screen name of Peace and harmony literally being a judgemental cunt.
The trend on this site has been decidedly poor with regards to trolling and argumentative morons. Had a flat earther space denier making up physics in his attacks on me on a thread about Perseverance.
Nobody cares what your requirements are to raise a family. Take that shit to some communist country.
PeaceAndHarmony? EdgyAndVile matches your ego.
LOL. Common core was created because of "white privilege."
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2018/02/28/teacher-claimed-common-core-necessary-white-privilege-arrested/
When I hire a babysitter they show up in person to earn their money. These teachers didn't want to go into schools to teach.
Also: THIS IS EVERY SCHOOL BOARD
We are rooting for you good people in CA. You deserve much better that what you got.
Wrong.
http://deliberatedumbingdown.com/ddd/deliberate-dumbing-down/
Actually, I have homeschooled.
^ this!
No, they want their tax money back so teachers don’t sit on their ass and not doing anything except collecting money
If I home school can I not pay any taxes into the school district? No? Ok, then yeah, I'm going to be livid when I "want my baby sitters back". Because services aren't being render though payment is going through.
These people actually want us to do our jobs to get paid? LOL
This is the infuriating thing to me. They weteclike " imagine these asshole parents wanting Me to show up for work instead of getting on a zoom call for an hour"
The parents at home smoking pot this is FUCKING DELIVERED are equally pieces of shit.
Most schools dont give a shit about kids education
Many teachers do, many really don’t.
But every school is hunting metrics to get funding. Education is secondary.
Sounds just like hospitals....they say patients come 1st but all they care about are their ratings
Truth!
In reality, hospitals need to do more than just care for patients to stay able to care for patients.
This is 1000% true
The good teachers move to the good schools where the students actually care about their futures.
Most parents don't either
To be fair, given this area those comments are likely 100% correct.
The problem isn't that they're wrong, it's that they're actually telling the truth and you're not allowed to do that with certain communities.
Reeeeeeeeeeeeee racism!!!!!!!
I forgot about the scumbag parents
Unprofessional and unethical. Unbecoming of a teacher. Anyone else who has a job which requires a state license would be reprimanded and or lose their license.
What are you talking about? It’s about 50% white and 50% Latino. Which is pretty much the whole makeup of California.
Average home prices are in the $500K range, this no, this isn’t “certain communities.” I swear some of you people look for any reason to be racist.
Says the person that imagined a racist comment where no racism existed.
Are you authorized to use that fabricated cult term of "racism"? You better be since you are empowering the enemy.
Since you are on here the marxist cult has labeled you as "racist", so you don't have the authority to label something else as "racist".
So defend your use of the marxist cults term. Can't wait to hear it.
You are the only person mentioning race
Hahahhahhahahahaha Lazy ass liberal pos’s.... Have any of these people ever had a real job?
While we're here, I teach Japanese if anyone wants to learn. Economics, too (the real stuff, not the voodoo shit they teach in schools).
Isn't economics just the core idea of "Buy low, Sell high"?
Economics is about making rational (hopefully optimal) decisions under the constraints of scarse resources and imperfect information.
"How do I do the most with what I have and what I know."
ooooh ok that makes sense
Maximizing finite resources
Patriots should run for those vacated seats
Exactly. It’s a wide open opportunity to make real change. Get in there, Patriots!
Yes!!!!! Perfect!!!
Those who cannot do, teach.
Tech schools say hi
We can’t find replacement teachers anymore. We lower our bar every year just to get a warm body in the room. By reducing certification requirements you only attract burnouts and incompetent people. Why the fuck would anyone give up a chemistry or engineering job to go teach high school. The good teachers leave for better opportunities or just stay home once they have a kid or two since daycare costs have skyrocketed while teacher pay (and most jobs honestly) have stagnated.
Those who cannot teach, teach gym class.
PE
Want time off from work? Wish granted Lol.
Revamp the whole fucking system. It has gotten out of control. And I continue to ask: WHY THE FUCK DO PUBLIC GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES WHO GET PAID THROUGH OUR TAX DOLLARS GET TO UNIONIZE!!!???!!!
This is why we need to end systemic elitism
I like where you are going with this but we’ve got to use their language word for word.
“End system racism, dismantle public schools”
Amen
This is perfect, actually. Now some parents who actually care can join the school board.
Get in there, MAGA parents! Wide open opportunity for real change!
WHAT AN OPPORTUNITY!!!
Projection, teachers wanna stay home and smoke pot
MAGA parents need to take over the school board. It’s wide open - get in there and make a difference!
I have the same situation here. We have some incredible teachers in my community. They were devastated when they were made to stay home for covid
Video can be watched here https://youtu.be/aQ9v3EKP2nw
They got caught blowing off steam. Not really a big deal to me. Obviously they should reopen schools but I think it’s a blessing in disguise for the indoctrination centers to be shut down. More people will be homeschooling after the lockdowns and that means less leftist indoctrination.
I dig it. I watched a 1 minute video.
False. Unethical conduct and conduct unbecoming of an officer of the school board. It is a public office. There are actually ethical standards they are bound to adhere to. This isn't a hen party.
Word. I already agreed with someone’s rebuttal but it was deleted.
Grown adults acting liking children is too prevalent nowadays
All leftists have within them the seeds of their own destruction.
You can smoke pot at home all you want, just tell your kids to stay out of your hang out spot or you'll whip their ass.
“I thought the board members were also advocates for my child and had her best interests at heart”
Thats where you’re wrong kiddo
Yea, people really need to stop assuming
The Gorilla Glue lady is a 40 year old school teacher.
How fucking scary is that?
Can you imagine having a child in her class?
She's a teacher? She barely speaks English!
https://www.unilad.co.uk/life/gorilla-glue-girl-is-a-40-year-old-teacher-and-people-cant-believe-it/amp/
Definition of tact 1: a keen sense of what to do or say in order to maintain good relations with others or avoid offense
Proverbs 1:20-22 (ESV): Wisdom cries aloud in the street, in the markets she raises her voice; at the head of the noisy streets she cries out; at the entrance of the city gates she speaks: “How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple?
lots of truth coming out about who we've left in charge of things, huh?
> Claims to be responsible and accountable
> Does not resign
What is that GARBAGE site? I can bombarded with spam and videos. Can't be bothered to read an article engulfed in so much trash.
For those who want to bypass the digital aids that is the dm site, here's an archive
Weed is such a cringe drug. You need a wedgie if you're still smoking weed in 2021.
Thinking this is cringe. Smoking weed is my ancestral right.
If your doing anything pre January 1st 2021 then your just so cringe.
They love distance learning they don't do jack shit and our kids suffer. Fuck the Teacher Union.
The truth is they are right. Most of the single mother parents in their district do want taxpayer funded babysitters as well as the rest of the garbage parents.
But since the marxist teacher's unions are politically aligned with this save demographic then fuck them. This is what you get when you refuse to hold parents accountable.
What's most telling is that the school board was referring to the Parents using the word "They" to refer to parents instead of "We."
Once again the elected feel they are above the people they represent.
It's Oakland, which has been run by Democrats since forever. What did you expect?
Ugh.
they all were fine with resigning because they know 12 more commis will gladly take the job
They all think parents are beneath them. They talk down to you and about you to your own kids.
This is not exactly far off from reality in some parts of California I have been to.
Fyi: they are all like this.
These ones were just stupid enough to get caught
Trump was right, Biden's presidency is actually a curse on Dems and the left. I am enjoying this.
Teachers hate the parents and don't give a shit about the students other than indoctrinating them into their postmodernist cultural Marxism.
Republicans could slam dunk on dems if they advocated for opening schools. But they won’t because they don’t give a shit either.
In the old world, before clown world, they would replace these subseptic human scum with conservatives.
And that’s why I left California...
This is California, and he wasn't lying. He was just speaking an unspoken truth. Doesn't apply to all parents, far from it. But it definitely happens in much higher numbers in California than anywhere else in the country, that I can promise you.
Title of article sucks elephant dick. Unclear who wants to smoke pot. The parents or the teachers?
So I guess the vast majority of adults aren’t mature enough to be trusted to do a job. Maybe the election results aren’t so far fetched after all.
