No asshat, people are dead because they did not plan for anything. I bet the eastern half fared better because you certainly have some that plan for Hurricanes, so they don't get Katrina'd. Now fuck off and teach people to plan, instead of riling them up to blame others.

How can you plan if you don’t have any warning?

We had none. We were told it would snow and it would be gone the next day.

Funny, no one in the country knows about iowa's Deracheo last summer, we were without power for three weeks over 40,000,000 acres of corn lost no food, water, gas, ice for a hundred miles. We didn't even make the news, feel lucky, you are getting donations, we didn't get shit.

Yep. I love how everyone is blaming liberals but it’s the republican politicians who failed to create proper building codes, buy snow plows, or winterize the power plants.

This website is no better than Reddit. This place claims to be “republican” but won’t accept any responsibility for their failures

Why not head on back to Brainwash town rather than bitch on this site. Austin could have Nuclear Power but all the little liberals always go "Not In My Backyard" because they think power can just be magically transported any distance as long as there is power lines.

Typical cancer liberal mentality has got people so reliant on the government they don't buy sterno or know how to make a alcohol burner. Act like its the governments fault because people don't prepare to survive even 3 days without help.

'But Prepping is all conspiracy theorist wackos.' You plan without warning unless you are completely reliant on the Government Tit like the stereotypical Liberal Austiners do.

You had warning. the storm was forecast a week ahead, just like hurricanes generally are. And even it it were true that this storm "poof" showed up like you say, which it did not. Today, TODAY, there is clear warning to make damned sure you dont let this happen to yourself or your family again. By taking direct, personal action, to have some food and water stored at home, etc. etc.

So you want everyone else to plan-but you don't??

Your post was literally ranting that government didn't plan well! Fucking-a they never do!

You are blaming the wrong people!

When you build back your shit, I hope it's coded for volcanic activity.

You have a lot to learn about Texas. Not a single republican politician will change any building codes. Not one will buy snow plows. None will fix the power plants so they don’t freeze.

Um, snow and ice does in fact take time to fall and settle. Currently been snowing for a week by me. Furthermore, perhaps you should have had the foresight to have more than 2 days worth of food. Maybe some stored water. Blankets, generators, etc. Don't reeeee to us cuz you lack forethought.

Generators?? Why would we own that? This is Texas we have the best power grid in the USA.

Also we got hit with ice storms initially. Not snow. Within 2 hours last Saturday night every road was a skating rink. Unless you had 4wd you didn’t drive until Thursday.

Is this a troll? Seriously. Tell us you're just goofing right now.

I don't know why anyone should feel bad for you not being prepared for an emergency that was forecast a week in advance. Furthermore, just being prepared for an emergency in general. Yikes. Steers and queers really making sense to me now.

Hopefully, lesson learned by all you queers cuz apparently the steers froze to death....
