There is no greater televised red pill than true crime shows. I'm actually shocked that they haven't been a target of the Left yet. Not only do they often highlight black-on-black violence, but the disproportion of black-on-white violence often results in "We still don't know why they committed this senseless act of violence."
It's also one of the best arguments against the gun grabbers who magically think all violence will disappear if they take guns away from people. People who want to harm others will always find a way to do just that. Gun or no gun.
I did some poking around on the web to see what other people have said about the show, and sure enough there are rabid SJWers screaming REEEEcisms! The thing is, like you mentioned, this is reality. How can reality be racist? They're just showing the cases they have at the time. As the saying goes, "it is what it is".
If they had to wait for only white-on-black crimes, they would have to cancel the show. It's not just First 48. It's most of the shows on ID, Forensic Files, etc. are the same story. If ID network wasn't so immensely popular they probably would have succeeded in getting it removed by now. I can't say how many times we'd be watching a show and I'd say, "Watch...it will turn out to be some random black guy who had absolutely no connection to the victims and no reason to harm them at all" and that would be exactly what happens.
