I think we can all agree that while Ted wasn't the guy responsible for fixing the mess local level politicians made, his trip was still not a great choice from an optics standpoint. But hey, the Senate wasn't in session, and he wasn't hired to take care of local management. Best he coulda done is like, walk around and hand out blankets or something.
