Hi everyone - I was reading an article about the bail situation for Jimmy Lai - he was going to be able to get bail (basically, though, to be confined to his home - house arrest) but that was rescinded -

here is an article about that, how the law from 1999 was applied - it mentions the National Peoples Congress (NPC)

I mis-typed, that should be "National People's Congress"

"The court states that the precedent set by the 1999 Ng Ka Ling v Director of Immigration case referred to above is that the legislative acts of the National People’s Congress (NPC) and the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPCSC) are not subject to judicial review for their constitutionality."
