Then why did he invade finland, latvia, estonia, belarus, and start ramping up all offensive tools of the military by 1939? Stalin had every intention of waiting for germany and england to destroy themselves so the reds could make a clean sweep across europe. Documents and declassified post cold war docs show this...germany wanted pre ww1 land back under it's control and to move east to expand into soviet territory. Germany never had any intention of "taking over the world". It is lunacy to believe that garbage. The soviets on the otherhand wanted world domination and communism to spread globally.
