"Hangar No. 1 at San Salvador's airport is hopping. Technicians employed by jet maintenance contractor Aeroman swarm over Airbus planes belonging to JetBlue Airways, US Airways, and Ukraine's Donbassaero, checking electrical systems, replacing carpets, and examining engines and flaps for signs of corrosion or defects. Just outside, more jets from US Airways and Air Tanzania wait their turn. Why the rush to this tiny Central American country? Starting pay at Aeroman in El Salvador is around $4,500 a year, while veterans take home perhaps $15,000. In the U.S., airplane mechanics earn an average of $52,000 annually."

ANY QUESTIONS ?

Service may be part of the problem but the design and manufacture of the planes is equally at fault.

Boeing is a disaster.

Yes. What’s your point? Spell it out. Is it about unions? Min wage? Diversity?

Cesare_Borgia 12 points ago +12 / -0

It'd be better if airplanes that carry hundreds of people were maintained in a country where the average iq isn't borderline retarded. Those are my thoughts are least.

The value of a dollar in San Salvador and here?

slaphappy2 1 point ago +1 / -0

Cesare_Borgia answered your question quite well I thought.

Mostly Unions, a bit minimum wage, and of course there is diversity.

3
randomusers239874 3 points ago +3 / -0

It's mostly diversity, not unions or minimum wage.

NotAPuma 1 point ago +1 / -0

Unions are 90% of the time, American Communist.

What in the hell? How did this happen

3
VoidWanderer 3 points ago +3 / -0

Quota's. When you start hiring to fill a quota you no longer hire the best people for the job. Why do you think everything has taken a nose dive in terms of function and quality over the past few decades.

1
Newuser9 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's more because of globalism and getting stuff made in China or elsewhere for cheap. American made went away after WW2 and free world trade was enacted.

**United Airlines

If debris lands on your property, then do you become the owner of the debris? Are the feds allowed to retrieve it?

2
HiddenDekuScrub 2 points ago +2 / -0

Is there "airplane dropped parts on your house or car" insurance? 🤔

Newuser9 1 point ago +1 / -0

Umbrella insurance should work :)

Delta named a Best Workplace for Diversity for third straight year

Delta Air Lines Inc. CEO announces diversity initiatives

Delta Adds Diversity Training for All Employees | Fortune

On International Women's Day, Delta highlighted its progress in gender diversity.

Delta believes in supplier diversity and is directly investing in minority and women-owned companies.

.

Delta Air Lines is facing intense criticism after charging 34 U.S. soldiers returning from Afghanistan $2,800 in baggage fees.

Four uniformed service pilots have filed a proposed class action lawsuit that claims defendant Delta Air Lines, Inc., as part of an alleged "anti-military corporate culture," engages in a wide-ranging, systemic pattern of harassment against pilots with military service obligations.

The former Navy SEAL who shot dead Osama bin Laden has lashed out at Delta Air Lines on social media after claiming the airline banned him over a maskless selfie he took on board a flight this week.

Delta BANS passengers who targeted Mitt Romney and Lindsey Graham

.

United has plane trouble.

As the story says.

Delta does too.

After flying for 18 hours, the next flight was a Delta plane with a door that would not close, they then lost all the luggage.

Then after a flight on another airline, had to wait in line with many illegals at the lost luggage place.

FAA diversity hiring guidelines at its best. Gotta go thru the FAA to get your airframe/power plant license in Biden’s AmeriKa

2
Bonami 2 points ago +2 / -0

The problem is not Delta, the problem is Boeing and Boeing alone.

The plane was a 777, the damn things are aerodynamically unsound and assembled with no care.

And the FDA is complicit, they just ruled that Boeing craft were ok to fly again. They are NOT.

2
DebbieinDallas 2 points ago +2 / -0

You talking about that Max plane the Feds recently said was safe?

1
Bonami 1 point ago +1 / -0

That is just one example, in that case and with all other Boeing planes the FAA lets Boeing valuate the safety and performance of their own planes and have for some time.

The FAA?
