Honestly, I’ve learned more about WWI and WWII from Sabaton than I have in any of my history classes, both in public and private school. Hell, in all of grade school, pretty much all I was taught about both wars was that they happened, and thats about it. Really goes to show at how pathetic of a job (by design, thanks DoE) our schools are doing at teaching history.

I think looking at Auschwitz and "gas chambers" with an open mind is the best thing. We are lead to believe people about to lose their lives were marched outside the majority of walls / enclosed area and they happily went along without a fight. We are not talking about work camps (birkenau was a completely different thing). It really pays to visit these places, understand what people are saying and make your own judgement.
