I have a much younger little brother, who told me when he was a kid after his first dog died that he was sad, but also happy knowing he gave a good life to his buddy, and that his buddy gave everything he had right back. It was so honest and pure it really choked me up, but he's absolutely right at the same time. I know I'm going to be a wreck when my little bubby goes, but hopefully I can find some solace knowing I loved him as much as I possibly could. Love and prayers pede, I truly feel for you.

I know what you mean. Gracie was the first dog that was solely my dog. It’s funny you call your pup bubbsy, sometimes I called Gracie “bubby”. I don’t have any advice on what to prepare for, because I still don’t know what to do. I will say, the comments on this post have been comforting & helpful, unlike anything else so far. Y’all are so wonderful.

Haha yep, he's my little bubbers. I wish I had better words of advice myself. It's always so easy to "window shop" other people's lives, but when it hits close to home you never really seem prepared for it. You're not alone though, and I'm sure the love you gave Gracie meant everything to her. Hang in there though, there's lots of other dogs out there that need love too, if and whenever you're ready. Much love pede.
