... No? I lived there, they like it. They think American individualism is crazy. They wouldn't even consider moving to the US because they like the socialized health care.
They also think Americans are being killed on the street by gunshots left and right. They come visit the US, they find it's completely different than what they imagined.
Their governments are far more oppressive than you can imagine.
I lived there and even ran a small business, so yeah, I imagine.
Frankly, it's not that much worse than the US federal bureaucracy. The US internal revenue code is about 2,600 pages. No one can reasonably read that.
The tax burden in Europe is higher. Then again, they don't have the chronic US shortfalls, where the taxes collected every year are not nearly enough for the federal budget....
