The Left mocked him for not having a traditional college education. Yet he was the most articulate, eloquent and politically astute talking head in media.

MemeWarBoot 41 points ago +41 / -0

I build airplanes and I didn’t go to college. But I guess I’m stupid because I don’t know how many genders there are or the formula for determining how gay a ten year old is.

Jjones23 16 points ago +16 / -0

The formula for determining how gay a 10 year old is fucking ROFL

5
pente1776 5 points ago +5 / -0

... a formula??

12
TheGreaseman81 12 points ago +12 / -0

Yes, the quadfaggot formula. I learned about it in algebro.

8
lolpaladins 8 points ago +8 / -0

There are 2 genders.

And 10 year olds aren't gay, but sometimes their parents are faggots.

Some of the most accomplished people in life lack traditional College educations.

The idea that you learn anything beyond a book in college is an asinine statement made by haughty college graduates.

1
Norma_Bates 1 point ago +1 / -0

^ This is pure facts! I'm a college graduate, I got my degree the same way I got my high school diploma, cheating. The things I cheated on, I've never had to use. And the things I didn't... I've never had to use.

It's all a show to prove who is dedicated enough to finish and who has the status in life to actually go. It's a way to weed out the people society doesn't approve of.

I'm going to miss him so...much. He taught me a lot.

8
TommyLasordasBallBag 8 points ago +8 / -0

He taught us all. That's why they wanted him silenced. But, the Big voice behind that golden microphone gave us our voice. He believed he had talent on loan from God.. he returned his talent to the creator. It's up to us now. Who will be the next big voice?

7

global warming back then

6
theglynn 6 points ago +6 / -0

Global warming did not become a thing until 1988, when a bunch of non-scientists became members of the newly formed IPCC as part of the UN. Before then they talked about global cooling, but that was a much more balanced conversation. The IPCC is huge now.

9

Question is does the EIB Microphone anoint someone and keep that 12-3 PM EST time slot across the nation? Or does every station just fill that crucial time block on their own?

15
pmyourcovfefes 15 points ago +15 / -0

They’ve said the EIB network will be around for the foreseeable future. However, there is no replacement for Rush.

I don’t listen to guest hosts. He was it, had his own format and no one can replace or replicate it.

One of the last days he was on the air I was driving. He’d been out for a few days and I had it on the talk radio station waiting to see if he’d be on. I heard his voice at 12:06 and yelled YES! alone in my car. I remember it being such a happy moment that it was him and not a guest host.

Never met him, never talked to him but I loved him and he will be missed dearly.

1
Bullet_Tooth_Tony 1 point ago +1 / -0

Definitely no replacement for Uncle Rush. I will say I like Buck Sexton a lot, but again, just not the same. He did keep me sane on election night when they crazy shit started to happen. He has this way about him that calms you down like Rush can.

Strokestrucksmirk 3 points ago +3 / -0

Who's everyone's choice? We all know Rush is irreplaceable but someone has to fill that slot. My assumption is the show is going to be broken up and regionalized.

I'm in the Philly area and Chris Stigall from 6 to 9am has the same entertainment and knowledge that Rush's show brought daily. He's doing a second show in KC so he's a good choice to be syndicated nationally.

5
LosPepesContra 5 points ago +5 / -0

I like the guy from Seattle who would fill in. Todd Hermann? Him or Andrew Wilkow I've always liked

Michael Savage

2
tombombadil 2 points ago +2 / -0

I can’t think of a worse person than Savage to take Rush’s audience. Savage was so envious of Rush to the point that it poisoned his mind. He mocked him constantly. He’d frequently go on long rants about how much better he was at talk radio than “the golfer”. That was his not so clever nickname for Rush.

You figured he would cut back on his hatred for Rush after Rush’s cancer diagnosis, but nope, it just got worse. After Rush updated his audience on his cancer prognosis on air Savage tweeted this: Limbaugh’s crying about his cancer on air! Worst 15 minutes in radio history! Spilled a large coffee all over counter and floor. I PROMISE MY AUDIENCE THIS- I WILL NOT DRAG YOU DOWN WITH ME! Best wishes RUSH, but stop and leave the stage with dignity.

Savage is a complete scumbag who deserves the nearly zero attention that he gets these days. If you go and look at his most recent podcasts, you’ll see that the day after Rush’s death, Savage said nothing about what Rush did for talk radio. He didn’t even acknowledge Rush’s death. Instead he did a whole show about how horrible marijuana is for this nation. Meanwhile, he did a whole show tribute to Larry King the day after he died. That should say everything about what team Savage is playing on.

If you like Savage’s show, that’s fine. I used to listen to it almost daily. But you will eventually grow tired of his contempt for everything and everyone.

1
Cacciali_Via 1 point ago +1 / -0

Trump explained that we should look with suspicion upon people who change their names. Like Barack Obama.

1
MehNahMehNah 1 point ago +1 / -0

Savage is a mixed bag. Willow too - but a variety is healthy.

2
TheTelltaleFly 2 points ago +2 / -0

I went through this same scenario daily... tuning in at 12:06 to see whose voice it would be. Mark Steyn was the only guest host I could really tolerate. He said that Kathryn will be on the show Monday to talk about Rush. When Ruch signed off on 2/1 - the day before his last show - he said he had had Steyn on standby the whole time and had been taking it hour by hour because throughout the whole show he wasn’t sure he’d be able to continue. But he made it, and he did the full show the next day. And he was as good as he ever was. It’s truly amazing that he could still do the show at all. For most people at that point, getting out of bed isn’t even a possibility.

Radio is dead. I'm sure it will be filled, eventually, by inane trash, and people catering their listening to specific people they like, at a convenient time for them via podcast/videostreaming will be king.

Podcast is how I listened to Limbaugh anyways, along w/ Levin, Styx, and Bongino.

W/ parler cucking, Bongino's brand has taken a hit in my mind, however...

8
becky21k1 8 points ago +8 / -0

No, this guy is right. Right-wing radio is becoming controlled opposition. Ask Levin why he can't talk about the election being stolen. Savage, they just refused to renew his contract. Ingraham also left the air some time ago. The boom is over and the best ones will go podcast only in the near future. Ingraham went there some time ago and Savage did starting this year. Corporate boards can't tell you what to say there.

3
BigIronBigIron 3 points ago +3 / -0

I've noticed an... interesting trend in podcasts lately, a trend in channel recommendations and who gets A+ guests on their shows despite low viewership. It seems podcasts are viewed as a threat by certain people, an unexpected development, and it's very obvious they're trying to catch up late in the game.

2
Cacciali_Via 2 points ago +2 / -0

YouTube's auto play keeps pushing Jordan Peterson and other milqtoasts on me.

1
becky21k1 1 point ago +1 / -0

I used to go to conservativestream dot com and pick up what I wanted there because he had podcasts of some shows before they had official ones. I like this guy out of Boston, Jeff Kuhner, who was a Savage fill in at TRN. But they changed something with his podcasts where you apparently can't download one so this guy couldn't update them anymore. And he went and tried to cover everyone, so he can't keep up with them all. I don't worry about recommendations or who has what guest or what have you.

Checkout his early 90s interviews with Letterman, Donahue and 60 minutes. Rush is a legend, the left tried to smear him for 30+ years. RIP Rush!

9
nire6024 9 points ago +9 / -0

The day after he passed I was so happy to hear his voice from old segments, I heard Mark Steyn say on Friday that Rush's show is going to go on. They have plans to use current events and add segments from the past that are relevant and keep the show going for a while. I will still be listening.

Kind of crazy, 1992 is when I read, "The Way Things Ought to Be", loaned to me from a friend. It was my introduction into deeper politics in a household of liberals, though, one of which politics wasn't spoken to much off. I will give it to my mom, always allowing me to think for and become myself.

Sadly enough my mom has a case of the TDS and my friend that loaned me the book became a drug addled liberal scum.

Funny enough, all my friends growing up, the few that worked hard have made something of themselves, the others, liberal loosers sucking on the government teet voting for every hand out they can.

Rush shutting down grifter Al Gore back in 1992 . I am still hurting from losing him and wanting to hear his voice on the radio everyday because Rush stood for common sense and the principles of our Founding Fathers .

"that's not true".

Ministry of Truth existed even back then......and it was wrong back then also.

2
fazaman 2 points ago +2 / -0

Why do you think Rush became so popular? Besides just being so damn good at his job, he was saying all the stuff that people needed to hear. The stuff people knew to be true, but the media never said. People were so tired of all the bullshit in the media that when he came along, it was a breath of fresh air. Finally! Someone saying the truth!

It was like coming here after spending so much time in the leftist internet.

All these Green bullshit doomsday mongering is nothing but a tool to assert government control over people and tax them more. It is rooted in anti-humanist, genocidal desires, well connected with communism.

This is all it is. This is my short description.
