GOP is the party of free market and free trade cultists. They naively believe that big corporations are the natural bulwark against a totalitarian state. Government should do as little as possible to interfere with the power of the "invisible hand". Maybe that was the case in the last century, but these days big corporations are actually building a totalitarian system. They even enforce their counterproductive woke initiatives and progams in their branches in other countries. That is woke capitalism, which the GOP either denies or ignores. They have become enablers of evil as long as they still believe that the market can sort out everything by itself.
