I'm not asking with a particular answer in mind, it's an honest question. Throughout all of recorded history we have been struggling with this problem when clearly if we all worked together we could overcome mankind's biggest issues or at least alleviate the vast majority of suffering and strife throughout the world and create a beautiful, thriving society.
So why don't we? Why for thousands of years have we not figured out the simple truth that if we work together we can all be a part of the 'Shining City on a Hill'?
