I feel like we are just in a “pause” mode right now..waiting for Biden to implode and a new big DEM stink in DC...and Trump clean as a whistle just waiting to pounce
He made the same mistakes many have made in American politics - taking for granted that the others around you love this country and want what's best for her people. He must've realized at some point that not only do most DC people not care about this country, they actually despise it and us, and only seek their own enrichment from gaming the system. And no doubt literally everyone he encountered lied to him in dozens of ways, and took advantage of his care and concern. If Evil cannot convert you to its side, it will always use your own goodness against you.
Yes, he promised us a giant voice that could never be silenced or maligned again. I believe him with all my heart. And frankly, I love him enough to not want him to spend his golden years surrounded by these hateful scheming devils.

I think he is being like Gen MacArthur. Retreat when no other option is available so you can return to fight another day

I'm highly empathic. I didn't understand, at the time, why I was crying during his Jan 6th speech. But I do now.
