If each state where more independent, it would matter less who the president of the federation is. Biden demands open borders, red states says no and Biden can't do anything about it. Same goes otherwise, if Trump is president, building the wall, blue states flood themselves with illegal migrants, just like they voted for while red states are protected from insanity.

I look at it this way. Give half of the US to China and the third world or give all of it.
