Listen, man. It was just a mistake. Throughout my life, I have found situations like this to have two places to lay blame. I'm NOT excusing what she did. That is terrible, but you have to take some of the blame on yourself. Think hard. What could you have done to make her do this? Women, generally speaking, do this kind of stuff because of emotion or wanting attention. Maybe that's it. Have you given her the attention she needs or have you started taking her for granted?
Look. She made a mistake, but I think you can survive, if you're both willing to work at it. You have to find forgiveness in your heart and both of you need to work at your relationship. Marriage is not a downhill coast. It is an uphill climb every day.
