Sunday Gunday Discussion:

I have no problem with the concept of a "red flag" law. So long as it's crafted and executed correctly, with enough safeguards in place so that someone can't just "rat" on another gun owner without good cause.

We have seen a lot of Mass shootings over the decades and 99% of the time the shooter had some type of mental instability - whether previously diagnosed or not. And the one question I find myself asking each time is "How in the HELL do these people get access to a gun?"

I live in Florida (near Orlando and only a few hours from Parkland). I am a responsible gun owner and defender of the 2nd amendment. And I do know that we have to do more to keep weapons out of the hands of crazy people.

Are there other ways we can accomplish this without infringing on responsible gun owner rights?

No, we don't have to do more. It is already illegal to own a gun if you have a mental health disorder. Anyone who thinks we need more gun-control legislation is a dirty commie in my eyes and you won't change my opinion.
