Black americans though, really just seems like they cover the meat in [Insert generic storebought spice mix here] and then cook it.
Yeah, I really feel like the "bland is best" is just some underhanded jab. I can't see how a well-cooked steak is bland. I have about 6 homemade spices made from about 25 different spices on my shelf right now and I use them liberally.
They basically throw a bunch of salt on their food and talk loudly around it. They're rates of hypertension are evidence.
