9/11 wasn’t 9/11 just because 3,000 people died. Several 9/11s worth of people die every day in America. It was the shock of a deliberate attack on that scale, of such scope and complexity, being pulled off on American soil. Nobody would have believed it possible if they were not seeing it with their own eyes.
Using 9/11 as shorthand for ‘any 3,000 deaths’ is retarded and sets aside what really made 9/11 ‘9/11’.
