Our Governor lifted the mandate from the previous Democrat Gov. we had and then the fucking asshole dept of health in my county decided to keep ours going for 2 more weeks, minimum. This is even as numerous people showed up to the meeting AGAINST mandate and they still passed it. This was a 5-2 vote, so literally t losers in our county made it MANDATORY.
I'm not sure WHY/HOW the Governor's power does not override the county but even he said that each county may choose to do as they seem necessary!
When does this shit end?!! After 2 weeks, they will meet and keep it going at this rate. People in this area keep wearing them too. The 2 people on the committee who voted to END the mandate said there is no way to enforce it and it's almost been a year now. I live in a RED STATE!! Frustrated as hell.
