I remember during a 2019 House Financial Services Committee, Waters challenged bank executives, trying to blame them for the student debt crisis. The dumb ass forgot that she had voted for the Bill that turned the student loan system over to the government 10 years before.
Waters: “What are you guys doing to help us with the student loan debt? Who would like to answer first? Mr. Monihan? Big bank?”
Monihan: “We stopped making student loans in 2007 or so.”
Waters: “So you don’t do it anymore? Mr. Corbyn?
Corbyn: “We exited student lending in 2009.”
Waters: “Mr. Dimon?”
Dimon: “When the government took over student lending in 2010, we stopped doing all student lending,”
