In your perfect world, what should Cruz have done instead? Stay at home and tweet? I’m not really understanding why it was so dire to have Cruz in Texas other than “muh optics”.
People here constantly bash Cruz for “apologizing” to the left, yet they’re throwing tantrums because he didn’t do what the left deems acceptable. Pathetic.
If Cruz actually served the people he’s representing, he would be looking at ERCOT, how federal legislation and moving towards Green energy caused this problem. Then he would be fighting for Congress to move in the direction of a solution (hopefully in my opinion deregulation)
Why are you defending a traitor who backstabbed President Trump when we needed him the most?
Texas has its own electric grid, the politicians voted to state positions by Texans are the ones who should be making call how the Texas government should proceed. They don't need Cruz stepping on their toes by using his federal position to throw his weight around. Texas isn't known as a state that likes when the feds butt their head into its business so it's not odd that a Senator from Texas didn't feel the need to rush to Texas and tell the state to let congress handle things.
Lead instead of escape to paradise.
