Yeah turn the other cheek is not the worst advice for when you're in a situation where somebody distrusts you for no apparent reason. I'm not sure I'd follow it literally but steadfastly demonstrating good will works pretty well for defusing conflicts that never needed to be conflicts in the first place except for our dumb lizard brains.
But against real evil? Yeah I wish somebody in the Bible asked for clarification lol.
Do not worship violence, which is what the tweet seemingly alludes to.
We are to be warriors, that is correct! However, the battleground is in our minds. "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;" -- 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
Seek the Lord. Study His Word. Love Him with all your heart, soul, and mind. These are the most important things for a Christian man. The ferocious Christian men she talks about were tortured, stoned to death, crucified. Even then, they didn't seek to destroy their enemies, but to save them.
In modern times, it is the same. Be ferociously serving the Lord, protecting your family, raising your children in a godly manner. Reject the world and its depravity. Of course we are to stand firm in the midst of wickedness and degeneracy! God doesn't want us to just roll over and submit to everything that is "politically correct". God doesn't want us to be accepting of all the left's insanity. Now more than ever, men have to be strong in the Lord, stand firm in His commandments, and live a life God wants us to have.
I prefer the analogy of Jesus flipping over the tables rather than dressing up as a Templar.
I agree with everything you said except that you must be ready to also use violence. We all saw that ISIS treated Christians like sheep when they slashed throats. Stop being a sheep and be a lion.
Self-defense sometimes does require violence, of course. If ISIS, antifa, blm, or any other person/group is intending to harm someone and/or their loved ones, we are permitted to protect ourselves and fight back. It's the glorification of vengeance and reckless retaliation that is unbiblical and misleading.
When they came to arrest Jesus, Peter fought back and cut off someone's ear. Christ rebuked him for this. It wasn't for the act of self-defense, rather for Peter's unwise decision. God's plan was for Christ to die on the cross for our salvation, and Peter's actions stood in the way of that. We must discern, with God's help, when is the right time and the right way to act.
Back in the 1960s , the Gay mafia took over the seminaries where Catholic priests are trained. With that came the feminization of the clergy. When I was in Catholic grade school in the early 1960s, our parish priest was a roll model. He was a natural leader and later became a Bishop. By the time I was in college, our parish priest was an alcoholic that needed rehab every year and finally got caught going to a gay bar wearing a black leather suit.
Agreed fren. But I think that’s starting to change. Every young priest I know is pretty based. When the Boomer priests retire, I think the church will start changing for the better.
I was raised Episcopalian. We had a visiting priest from Ethiopia who I spent a lot of time talking to. He would tell stories about how Christians were violently persecuted and how they would fight back and protect each other.
It was a valuable lesson about how the book and the sword are very compatible.
Anecdotal, my uncle joined the Catholic seminary in the 60's, in NY. He left after two months - and till the day he died, said it was because "it was too gay".
Islam, Sikhs, even Hindus all fight for their religion. Christians have had their nuts cut off

how convenient that they forgot how Jesus kicked some ass to protect his Temple or that we had Popes literally calling for wars.

Psalm 34:16 Verse Concepts The face of the Lord is against evildoers, To cut off the memory of them from the earth.
im not an expert but that sounds pretty clear to me.
Citing the acts of various Popes isn't going to get you very far with most Protestants.

Atheist Communists fight and mass murder for their religion too.
Christianity was hijacked in this country the moment people started using the term judeo-christian to describe their values.
Isn’t Judeo Christian accurate? Jesus was a Jew and Paul created the religion of The Christ.
And jews sold him out, hate his guts, and hold very different values. I'm not a jew. I'm not a judeo-christian. I'm a Christian.
