Yeah turn the other cheek is not the worst advice for when you're in a situation where somebody distrusts you for no apparent reason. I'm not sure I'd follow it literally but steadfastly demonstrating good will works pretty well for defusing conflicts that never needed to be conflicts in the first place except for our dumb lizard brains.
But against real evil? Yeah I wish somebody in the Bible asked for clarification lol.
