What does being a Christian mean?

To witness God's only son as the whipping post of those that espoused the mosaic law, so that when it happens again, you understand that you're not only going to be carrying that cross for your self worth and salvation, but you're going to fight like a motherfucker from it ever happening again.

What was the cross for then?

When Jesus was sentenced to be crucified, he was forced to carry his cross from Jerusalem publicly through the streets to the spot he was to be crucified. Many interpret the carrying of the cross as carrying your burden or duty, whatever it may be.

That's about all I know. Still reading the bible.
