We've been holding the line for decades, and being undermined at every turn by people either pretending to be our brothers and then backstabbing us, or non-Christians who like the prosperity we've built up but think we could do without all that morality BS.

Keeping a nation up and running while fending off constant attacks from every angle probably isn't anything compared to what you've been doing, though.

This is a spiritual battle, good vs evil, right vs wrong.

You cannot rebel vs authority as that is the wicked ones game and he will not allow you to play by the same rules.

All we can do is hold the line, and when the time comes to stand on principle, truth and justice, stand together. That time will come.

(The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.)

And when they had summoned them, they commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. 19 But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, make your own judgment; 20 for we cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.”

There are times when you tell "authorities" to go judge themselves.
