I'm not defending him, I just don't care. Go on vacation or don't, it doesn't affect anyone else's life. I care about the thousands of people (including people I knew) who died from heartless Governors who wanted to make Trump look bad.

Except back when he was a Democrat and a TV celebrity, somehow nobody ever accused him of anything, and in fact celebrated his real estate genius, his compassion, his ideas, his personality, even his sex life... until he threatened their power structure.
Except strangely neither you nor the TV press you mindlessly parrot can articulate any specific action or measurable outcome to justify that statement even in comparing President Trump’s outcomes on your own favorite issues ** like minority wealth, endless war, or environmental impacts, or even simply rhetorical gaffes— instead having to constantly substitute meaningless metaphors, euphemisms, factual lies, and worthless ‘polls’ about feelings instead of anything that can be held to a standard.**
At the same time you remain obtusely ignorant of Democrat scandals and leftist wrongdoing, proving you’re a signal zombie whose “opinions” come directly from TV media rather than your own informed thoughts.
The truth is they really don’t care about people dying unnecessarily because they know nothing about that unless “the news” 1) tells them people died or are dying unnecessarily AND 2) tells them exactly how to feel about it.
Other than just not caring, the disturbing thing is that if “the news” were to tell them to feel good about people getting killed then that’s what they’d do.

That was their entire excuse for BLM violence over the summer.
I understand that, but how is Cruz's "vacation" affecting anyone's life? Who cares what he does with his time off and with his money?
If he used tax dollars for it, or could have helped at all with the TX situation.. then I could understand being upset. But, as a senator, there is nothing he can really do, so why be mad about him going on vacation?
