First they came for the free thinkers, and I said nothing...Then, they came for the maskless, again, I said nothing....Then, they came for, well, you know the rest.....and how this all plays out....
She's right, they're going to get sued. What these businesses are doing is illegal. THey need to prove that you are posing an imminent threat or danger on an individual basis. That means they need to prove she is sick with covid to make her wear a mask.
She should have pulled an Elizabeth Warren and claimed to be a Native American, and accused the staff of racism by denying her service. Also should have threatened to contact top management.
Probably was not unlawful, the store operators called the cops right, and they merely tried to enforce an ordinance? Then she refused to cooperate, resisted arrest, and so while 'I' or 'you' probably would not have been arrested she chose to be so arrested with her breach of the peace.
And I gotta say, as a small business owner if I ask you to leave and you don't you'll have bigger worries than the cops. I will not ask you to leave merely because of a mask but if any attitude arises or you irritate my other customers I will ask you to shop elsewheres, youbetcha. When you're in my business you are on my property, I do not need any reason to refuse you other than the fact I want to do so.
I would not have called the cops, unless the thing escalated somehow. But if I did call the cops I'd likely have you at gunpoint while we wait, it wouldn't matter why the thing started once 'you' become irrational I have to honor the threat you pose, and I consider all such to be mortal threats.
I'm the most understanding, Peaceful Redneck you'll ever hope to meet, but I will insist on civility and polite society. Have your mask protest, but make a scene and the Spectacle worries me. You cannot observe her actions and schreechings and honestly not see her demented state.
I hate the muzzles, but her violences make matters worse.
well, what you're saying sounds illegal. bigger problems than the cops? right, that's even worse than discrimination for not wearing a mask. I get it though, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, but it would be best to wait for the cops in theory.
No business can discriminate someone for not wearing a mask unless they can prove that individual is an imminent threat, or danger to safety. The law says it is supposed to be judged on an individual basis, but majority mob rule doesn't care about laws until they get sued. That means they need to prove they have covid in that instant, or else they can't kick you out for not wearing a mask.
if people with masks have the ability to shop inside the store, people without masks can shop in the same area or else it is discrimination. It is like telling someone in a wheelchair that they need to stand up and walk into the store, or else they're not allowed in.
Mandates are not laws, they are not passed by legislature and have no constitutional standing.
These mandates need to get in front of SCOTUS soon.
This is madness.

Idiots
In America. Hate cops.
She should have pulled an Elizabeth Warren and claimed to be a Native American, and accused the staff of racism by denying her service. Also should have threatened to contact top management.
She got what she wanted, what's the problem?
And she chose to add charges by resisting arrest, and I'd tack on a mental health hold to evaluate her too.
She demanded to be arrested, her order was filled, no problemo.

unlawful arrest for a discriminatory trespass.
