I think it's just how far off the deep end the left has gone and folks that were normally left leaning, smart people who were reasonable are having to pretend like the right is so despicable when they say something to keep these folks from going after them as they're horrified of being cancelled or of having a reputation even slightly right wing for what it would mean to their careers and how easy the media lets them have it without going after them relentlessly. Trump was made an example of by the media as were so many folks that are the right and that's why so many RINOs seem to exist, because that kind of hate and gaslighting breaks a lot of people or if it doesn't break them it causes extensive harm to their kids and spouses.

I like Rogan as he's horrified of that, but he's gotten so much worse since the Spotify deal that I longed stop being interested in his show and I'm just going to listen to and support real free thinkers who aren't afraid of the backlash to their personal lives and reputations. Don't forget anyone who defended Trump during his impeachment was being threatened with things like disbarment and being kicked out of their law firm. They have the power to make folks lives enormously difficult.
