When the New York Times prints an article about double-masking or "white supremacy" or a "are light bulbs racist?" piece, they really aren't trying to "convince" you of anything -- they're trying to make you feel out of step with the world, like you no longer belong anywhere, and all your long-held beliefs are tainted. It's some insidious, evil shit.
