Green Card holders can already get federal student loans, get unemployment insurance, get food stamps, Obamacare for low income, work in financial industry including banks, any engineering job. Only jobs they can't do are Government jobs and any job that requires a gov clearance including gov contract positions.
Plus, any Green Card holder can and are eligible for US Citizenship after 5 years of being a lawful permanent resident......
Only thing this law does is remove citizenship requirement out of police application if you have been a lawful resident who has been here in the country for 5+yrs...
I honestly don't see the downside of it when a lawful permanent resident already has to abide by all criminal and civil laws in the state of Utah and in Federal ....
