Trump curse? I believe that Newsom and Cuomo were being groomed for the presidency but they werent ready for 2020/didnt want to run against Trump when they still had their nice cushy govmt jobs. Maybe the powers that be were thinking that they would put Joe in as a temp placeholder for 2020 but he wouldnt run in 2024 (nor would Kamala bec she is so unpopular) so these two guys would compete in the open primary in 2024. But they miscalculated their handling of Covid and now they are expendable and diff Dems will be groomed for 2024. Basically they became tyrants plus Cuomo covered up his nursing home murders. Janice Dean FTW (she made a big stink about it bec both her inlaws were killed in the nursing homes).
