For the last 4 years we were anywhere between 1.29-1.89/gal. Since the election we are now up to 2.79-2.89/gal. Prices seem to go up ~20¢/gal every week or so these days.
gas went up to 2.80 here in northern illinois now...up from 2.73 just a week ago :(
and now mid grade is up above 3.20 again :/ my twin turbo audi beast takes premium! that is going up like HELL!
i got the car a few years back , during the height of the trump years and NEVER EVER had to worry about gas prices when i felt like driving around and joyriding. now im thinking twice :(
During the early Bush II years gas was $1.67/gal, then later $1.99/gal. I remember because some guy was changing the sign. Then in 2005 and Katrina gas was $3/gal. I remember because I was worried how that would impact my customers. Then during Obama gas was $3.75-4/ gal. I remember bec we had an RV that really sucked it up at 10 mi/gal and diesel was $4.25, and it was about $5/gal in Calif due to their taxes. I stayed home a lot to cut down on expense. Gas was cheaper under Trump and yes its going up but it wont make much on an impact until it hits $4/gal IMO
I used my Trump Bucks to stimulate the Auto market by buying a hybrid Corolla when gas was $1.50 and falling. They were giving GREAT discounts because, who wants a hybrid when gas is cheap.
I'm patting myself on the back for being on the right side of history for a change. Of course, you still need gas, even if it's expensive and the fruitcakes in DC may yet try yo ban gas.

Dems are talking about a mileage tax now bec of all you people who bougtht cars that use less gas. Tyvm.
