Stories like this make me wonder if buying or finding a big knife would be worth it. The way I see it - if you illegally enter someone's home you've already consented to having your ass beaten within an inch of your life. Illegally entering with a weapon of your own though? You've forfeited your right to life entirely, and I am glad some of our states understand this concept.
