If we are going clarify, they are oppressive authoritarians, but not communists specifically. At least the idea behind communism is noble - to assist those at the lower rungs of society (although it ended up oppressing them further). So at least pure communism is well intentioned, while these modern day dictators don't give a flying fuck about the people. I don't know if that clears it up at all.
That’s exactly what I was getting at that this is oppressive totalitarianism not anything remotely communal. I detest communism but on a tribal level it is sensible and helpful. Maybe it’s not called that but it is what tribes do and it works. It’s what families do. Nothing that’s happening now should be associated with anything like that or anything constructive or beneficial for the people. It is pure dictatorship and in no ones best interest but their own. We should start calling it that.
You get it. I get it. But try explaining it to a normie, and even though we know it is the absolute truth, it is just too much for them to wrap their minds around and they just see us as crackpot conspiracy theorists. Sigh.
Wrong. There are have been tons of people, spineless intelligensia, newly made libshits, etc... who loathe historically communist methods but praise their ideals. Which is bunk. On a small scale it is an argument of individuality vs. collectivism. Communism is not well intentioned. Dictatorship of the proletariat? It is a group of incompetents in a lower hierarchy that wants to sling-shot to the top of the pyramid. Through manipulation, blood, and fear. An army of shriveled bookkeepers, sub-par liberal arts students, and other leeches.
The late 19th/early 20th century myth and hubris that we know enough to raise everyone up to the same level is communist bullshit. They thought they understood social science so well that they could do this.
Group dynamics and collectives are important. Families, neighbors, villages, towns... but if those people need to have a choice in whom they associate.
However, it cannot be done at the scale the contemptible Marx, Lenin, Burkhin, et al have envisioned. Men are not ants. Damning communist methods but admiring their ideals is the first pitfall of the ideology as a whole. There is nothing noble about preying upon people's sense of altruism along with the other vectors of attack employed.
A lot of people who talked the way you do sat still while x's country civil war waged on. After it was won by the "red" faction, they hoped they could go with the flow, only to be grabbed up by the Cheka, GPU, or whatever that country calls their political police all the while asking "Why me? I have done nothing!" Well comrade, your existence has become inexpedient to the state. Power vaccums existing from within the secret police, the ideological commisars, the manager of the Food Trust... People intoxicated with power and blinded by it, gaming the system. Not to worry, they'll end up taken away like you were, sooner or later.
Read Solzhenitsyn, read Ayn Rand's "We The Living", read Orwell's Nineteen-Eighty Four as starting points. The threat does not have to come in a Soviet style, communist, red bolshivik form. It could easily be religious fundamentalists or some other type of ideological hodge podge.
Don't believe me? Take a look at all existing collectivist states that are communist/socialist or fundamentally religious. Also, take a look in the past of these types of states.
You want to help those in the lower rungs? That's what Welfare is for, except in the US, it is a broken system. It is purposely designed for you not to be able to get out of it. They make it difficult. I speak from personal experience,
I’m starting to think that calling them evil communists is even going to easy on them. There’s got to be a better word for this.
