ive lived in oklahoma my whole life and currently work on Tinker AFB which is right smack in the middle of tornado alley.
Ive never seen a tornado personally, im not afraid of one, and you would basically have to refuse to move out of the way if you wanted to die from a tornado. their destructive path is usually narrow and its not hard to avoid it.

I used to live near Tinker. F5 tornado embedded grass in my garage back in 1999.
They're usually not an issue, but the perfect one can equal several months of BLM protests worth of damage and death.
It's a grim subject, but I propose we start measuring the damage from natural disasters in units of BLMs.
