It smells fishy to me. The boy died but the toddler next to him survived? I've seen a lot of terrible lawsuits, it honestly wouldn't surprise me if he died for some other reason and the family sued for money. The biggest plot twist is if they killed him themselves for the money and national attention.
Yeah seems weird. And wouldn't you huddle together as a family if it was that cold? More body heat = less chance of freezing to death. Why would they let the babies fend for themselves.
