I live in a lefty state, NJ. It's actually more purple than you've been led to believe. My friend started a GOP Executive Committee in the town over. The town went from Dems running unopposed to almost half the town government being Republican. I asked him how I could do it my town in his Facebook group. I was immediately contacted by the county GOP. I created a town GOP page and have over 60 members in a week. Our first meeting is next week.
Take action! We can take over at the local level. Then we worry about state and national seats. Let's build a solid base they can't knock us off of. Good luck pedes!

A clarification about this article: This just means that on iphones, the FBI has the ability to steal the encryption key from RAM. It's more of an iphone problem than a signal issue and it has nothing to do with signal's encryption. You could have the most secure encryption scheme in the world but if the medium the keys are stored in sucks (in this case, an unlocked iphone), it's useless.

I think the problem stems from the way the iPhone stores the encryption keys. Android has a different architecture. The above poster is correct tho.. let the keys out and no encryption works.

In my semi-professional opinion, there isn't anything wrong with using these devices as long as you are not lulled into a false sense of security.
The GOLDEN RULE of tech is this: If it connects to the internet, it CAN be be hacked
If you truly want secure communications, the best way would probably be to communicate in some kind of code. Said code should be carefully designed to appear as normal speech, so as to avoid detection entirely.
Signal seems to be pretty rock solid where it provides coverage. If your phone or device is stolen, however, it will become a weak link to those communications. Similarly, if your device is being tapped (display watched or keys tracked) Signal's encryption will not help you.
Using things like signal will help you avoid the blanket automatic trackers. This is probably the most overall valuable application of secure systems. Know that any hacker (or otherwise...) will be able to track you down and compromise you if they are directly targeting you. There is very little you can do to avoid that.
Just some things to keep in mind.
This is completely true and i am a professional in this... have been for the last 6 years. EVERYTHING is hackable.. it just depends on time and resources and if the target is worth the time and money. End to end encryption using 256 bit encryption would take more time to decrypt just one message than humans have been around. Open source software is probably the most secure dev environment which is why security experts are saying voting Software must be open source. There are lots of things to be paranoid about. End to end Encryption open source chat apps should be down the list.

Always been a Republican but found myself at a AA meeting 2 years ago and I have been truly blessed to find that not only did I get sober, I found God again. I tell all of the people I see how good God is, and not in a pestering way but in a "God truly saved my life and helped to provide me with a less chaotic one at that!"
Growing up in my white family home, I was loved but there were struggles with addiction to alcohol and it was painful. However I use that to motivate me, not to turn me into a jerk who takes what isn't mine. The hard things we go through can be such blessings for others who have lost all hope.

If instead of getting honks you got contact info, you'd've been able to ask all these people if they did or didn't vote for Trump. Then whence you've obtained a critical mass, you go to your local GOP and say "there is no way the stats are what's claimed if it conflicts with this self-identified number of Trump voters." Then the lawsuit happens and Democrats have real trouble on their hands.

I am originally from Texas but lived in Edgewater NJ (working across the river in NYC) for about 3 years (around 2004-2007). I remember in 2006 when the dems took back congress (super depressing), first time I ever voted outside of Texas and to be honest, there were alot more republicans at and outside the poll place then I would have believed. They got harassed and I will never forget the respect I had for them. I have no idea if the dem-commie controlled voting center threw my GOP straight ticket ballot in the garbage or not, but it felt good voting against the Dems on their own turf.

just yesterday i was emailing with the chair of Ohio Young Republicans. I told her i have no idea what I'm doing or what I even could be doing. She replied, and we are going to get a coffee sometime this week and discuss the possibilities. I am actually pretty excited. I'm not set on joining ohio young republicans, I just wanted an established group to get myself started. I think the best thing we can do is get involved and I'm scared if i don't, no one will. My though is, if even I am doing something, probably tons more people are as well.

If your county GOP is entrenched RINOs, taking over is possible but might take a few election cycles. An alternate, while in the longer cycle, is to start a GOP County Woman's club. It doesn't take any elections. It can be federated or not. My wife started one in our county and it quickly became more politically important than the county GOP. The woman's club arranged and sponsored the Lincoln/Reagan diners (where candidates give their public election speeches). It didn't take long until she was on first name basis with our state reps, our federal congressman, and our LT governor.

This is a great first step! You also need to become familiar with your local representatives. Council members, County Executive, Mayor, even House Rep & Senator. Learn their names. Have their information available. I'm extremely lucky to know our district Representative personally. I actually met him face to face on Election Day in November. He was out front with a sign saying "Thank you for practicing your right to vote!" and I went over and talked with him. Had no idea who he was at first, but when he introduced himself I recognized the name and we struck up a conversation during the hour and a half long wait time to vote. I have emailed with him back and forth several times about getting Missouri rolling on becoming a state that outlaws electronic tabulators as well as pushing for mandatory Voter ID, I know for a fact that I am not alone in that effort, he mentioned he has gotten several emails on the issue as have other representatives. He and several others are now trying to draft a bill for this.
I'm slowly trying to work an angle to get on to his staff in some capacity. I want to work with him, to try and make Missouri better, safer, and better equipped to tell China Joe to fuck off with his treasonous ways. I want to get to point where if he retires, or chooses to not run, I could run for his seat.
The point of this whole thing is to get active. Learn who is there to represent YOU and your community. Get to know them. Meet them in person. They are there for YOU. Make sure you know who THEY are.

Here in New Jersey it's at the county level with chairmen for each town within the county committee.

NJ is more based than people give it credit for. Morris (center-right) and even Passaic (reliably left) counties had Trump flags EVERYWHERE. I counted more Trump signs, flags, bumper stickers, etc. here in Bluestatecucklandia than I did when I took a weekend trip to central Pennsylvania. Blue state pedes are throwing down the gauntlet and making their voices heard. NJ had a bunch of Trump rallies in September/October, and even months after the Fraudlection, I still see people with their signs and flags up. NJ is holding the line.

I've tried to reach out to my counties GOP party to become a Precinct committee officer two or three times and nobody replies even Joshua freed who's the head of running that never replies to my emails makes me worry about the system a little bit. I just want to help. At least Clark county which is fckin far from me wants my help, but not my precinct.
