I live in a lefty state, NJ. It's actually more purple than you've been led to believe. My friend started a GOP Executive Committee in the town over. The town went from Dems running unopposed to almost half the town government being Republican. I asked him how I could do it my town in his Facebook group. I was immediately contacted by the county GOP. I created a town GOP page and have over 60 members in a week. Our first meeting is next week.
Take action! We can take over at the local level. Then we worry about state and national seats. Let's build a solid base they can't knock us off of. Good luck pedes!
While I’m against keeping the Republican Party alive, this might be a viable alternative. It could take decades to remove the corruption, but bottom up is the right way to go. We just all need to remember, if we’re not improving our own personal lives, then none of this local reform of politics will ever work.
Personal accountability will be one of the main focuses of our Executive Committee
Always been a Republican but found myself at a AA meeting 2 years ago and I have been truly blessed to find that not only did I get sober, I found God again. I tell all of the people I see how good God is, and not in a pestering way but in a "God truly saved my life and helped to provide me with a less chaotic one at that!"
Growing up in my white family home, I was loved but there were struggles with addiction to alcohol and it was painful. However I use that to motivate me, not to turn me into a jerk who takes what isn't mine. The hard things we go through can be such blessings for others who have lost all hope.
Anyway, yes! Improve your lives! When we change in ways that allow us to be more loving and kind, it really does change the world. Unwarranted acts of anger will never create anything of goodness.
Sober life is the way.

You think we have decades? Does that mean we hand over the guns, wear the masks, take the experimental gene therapy, pay the ever increasing taxes, ignore the hordes of illegal aliens, sit in the dark when the green energy fails, and hope we can elect our guys for local positions without them getting their votes stolen or getting canceled, blackmailed, jailed, or straight up disappeared?
I have a very difficult time seeing the sense in any of this talk. We are literally told to remain in our houses or wear face coverings and remain 6 feet from each other, the executive, judicial, and legislative branches of government are all corrupt.
I feel like I've just watched my house get broken into and ransacked by someone who spat directly in my face and I'm being told to write him a stern letter outlining my grievances.
