Why though? DC isn’t there to support America. It doesn’t belong to the American people. Sooner you get that through your head the better.

I used to drive through that area frequently but now it's damn near impossible. The congestion is causing traffic a mile around bog down. There is no excuse for this to continue.

Mostly correct. Congress critters and their lobbyists have to drive through the same area so there is some incentive.
