what i don't understand is how in any way could any defamation cause 1.3 billion in damages for a company that makes voting machines if they are making that kind of money I'm in the wrong business

Because its for future damages. After Biden is done with destroying the economy 1.3 billion will be worth about 3.50$ in todays dollars.
