It still doesn’t make sense why SCOTUS punted on the Texas case when time was of the essence. It still doesn’t make sense why SCOTUS punted on the Texas case when time was of the essence. The sheer number of amicus briefs on that case made it clear that it was in the public interest for SCOTUS to hear the case.
