To be fair, Trump made tax cuts for like 7 of 9 tax brackets. The lowest tax bracket was unchanged and some $100k - $120k tax bracket was unchanged. It's been a while since I looked it up. Everyone's taxes went down except the poorest who don't pay that much tax already and the government won't chase them for tax evasion.
Even when I hated Trump, I saw it more as a bribe to get him re-elected as the tax cuts go away in another year.

The doubling of the standard deduction made the biggest difference to me. Lowered my effective rate from 9% to 5%. That's somethin!
